Have your say on Stroud town centre

Stroud District Council has instructed consultants to prepare a Public Realm Strategy for Stroud town centre. On Thursday 8th May 2008, there will be an open evening at the Subscription Rooms, Stroud from 4.30pm-8pm. All users of Stroud town centre are invited to see the plans and comment on suggestions to change traffic flow, parking and the street scene. This will be an opportunity to ask questions and air your views prior to the Strategy being finalised.

Woodchester Design Statement

A working group is putting together a draft design statement for Woodchester. Essentially this is a documented review of what’s special about Woodchester and what residents like and dislike. Once adopted it will act as supplementary planning advice to Stroud District Council when taking planning decisions. Once a draft is available it will be put to the village for widespread consultation. Please keep an eye on the parish notice boards for details of how you can contribute.

Consultation has started for the Woodchester Village Design Statement. What is special about Woodchester? What do you like or dislike? Councillor Hemming is coordinating the production of Woodchester’s design statement, which will serve to provide advice to the District Council in planning decisions.
