Acoustic Music evening at The Royal Oak

The Royal Oak is having an Acoustic Music evening on the last Wednesday of every month. On the last one they had 3 Guitars 1 Violin 1 Banjo/Mandolin and a Double Bass all squeezed in the Bar. The next Acoustic evening, will be this coming Wednesday the 27th of October and they should have the same 6 musicians as before.  Louis tells me that they ‘are all very accomplished in their own right’.

Music at The Royal Oak

This Friday (22nd October) JB & The Mellowtones a three piece Latin swing band with keyboard, drums and guitar will be at The Royal Oak. Anyone who is into their music will know the name John Broomhall (JB) a master pianist.

On the following Friday (29th October) they have a fantastic solo artist by the name of Sam Holmes who writes and sings her own blend of Folk Acoustic and Experimental music.

Woodchester Craft and Produce Show 2010

The 2010 Woodchester Produce Show was held on Saturday 11^th September. There were 58 adult entrants and 43 children with a total of 278 entries and thanks to a combination of sponsorship by The Little People Company and Wyevale Garden Centre, generous donations in the auction and kind weather, made a profit of £95.92.
