Tommy McInerney, a pupil in year 6 at Woodchester Endowed Primary school in Gloucestershire, will ride from Land’s End to Bristol, hoping to raise £1,000 towards a PA system for his school. “Next year I will be going to secondary school so I want to do something to help my school before I leave.” says Tommy.
“In the Easter holidays this year I am planning to cycle 200 miles from Lands End to Bristol and hoping to raise at least £1000 in aid of my school. One of the things the school still needs is a good PA system, so we are hoping to put all the money raised to this.”
Tommy and his dad Duncan will be riding a tandem for 4 or 5 days starting from Land’s End. “I will sometimes be cycling on my own road bike, sometimes with my Dad on our tandem. We have been training for weeks, planned the route and booked B&B along the way. I am really looking forward to it.”
To help Tommy to raise the money please log on to justgiving.com/tommysride or click the picture above. That way Woodchester Endowed School PTA will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
