Bellringing at St. James the Great, Dursley

February 27, 2008 on 11:47 am | By Duncan | In Council News | No Comments

How about taking up a new hobby this winter? You could consider bellringing, there’s a lot more to it than meets the eye!
We currently have fourteen active ringers on our books but many others join us from surrounding towers during the course of a year.
We practice every Thursday evening from 7.30 to 9.00 and ring for all the main services at St. James on a Sunday.
If this takes your interest then please contact me, Philip Pope on (01453)548332 and we can arrange for you to attend one of our Friday practices to begin with.

Shoppers seek donkey for bag help

Parts of Chalford, near Stroud, are so steep that residents cannot drive their cars up the narrow paths to the doors of their homes.
